About Italian Leather 'Mayaberry':
'Mayaberry' is leather made by Il Ponte, a company affiliated with the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Association. It is tanned using only vegetable tannins, a process known as 'vegetable tanning,' and comes from the belly part of cowhide called Berry.
The surface has a manually created, sanded-like texture, giving it a rough and matte feel. However, as you use it, the roughness is reduced, and a unique shine gradually emerges, making it a very distinctive leather. Leather tanned exclusively with vegetable tannins has a fine fiber density, and as you use it, it becomes more familiar, undergoes changes, and brings the joy of nurturing and evolving the leather.
Please note that this product comes with the Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Association quality tag.
