Created in collaboration with a fan manufacturer, the 'OIKAZE -ITOKO Model-' is a decorative fan featuring silk fan faces painted with gold leaf, utilizing one of Kyoto's hand-painted Yuzen techniques.
The fan face, born from the collaboration with 'OIKAZE,' uses silk fabric backed with gold paper.
We use silk thread with slubs for the weft, allowing you to feel the soft, natural texture of the material.
Traditional craftsman Yutaka Shiga applies the gold leaf by hand, finishing each piece with meticulous care.
The fabric's appearance and the brilliance of the gold leaf change with the angle, creating a masterpiece that provides the joy of viewing again and again.
Folding fans have long been cherished as lucky charms, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune due to their 'spreading end' shape.
As interior decor symbolizing Japanese culture, this decorative fan elegantly adorns spaces like your home entrance, living room, or Japanese-style room.
How to use:
1. Take the boat-shaped stand out of the box on the base, and set the decorative fan in the hole.
2. Gently touch the front of the boat to make it sway.
