HIORIE Towel Care Guide

Hiorie Towel Care Guide

Step-by-step professional tips to keep your towels soft and fluffy.

01. Washing Methods

01

Wash before first use

Although we manage hygiene strictly, towels easily attract dust. Please wash with plenty of water and air dry in the sun before the first use.

*Front-load Washing Machine Notice: Using a front-load washer may cause the pile to become stiff or shed more easily. Please check your washer's manual for the best "towel wash" settings.
02

Use plenty of water

Washing with plenty of water allows towels to swim freely. In water-saving modes, friction increases, which leads to excessive lint shedding. Keeping the water level high is the secret to a long-lasting fluffy texture.

Softener and Detergent Guide
03

Limit fabric softener

Please follow the recommended dosage. Overusing softener coats the cotton fibers with oil, which significantly reduces the towel's water absorbency. It can also cause the fibers to loosen, leading to persistent lint shedding. We recommend using softener only when the towel begins to feel stiff.

04

Avoid bleach & fluorescent detergents

To preserve the delicate texture and natural colors of Hiorie towels, avoid chlorine bleach and detergents containing fluorescent whitening agents. These chemicals can damage the cotton fibers and cause uneven fading or a harsh feel over time.

05

Use a laundry net

Washing inside a net prevents the pile from snagging on zippers or hooks, ensuring your Hiorie towels stay beautiful and durable for longer.

02. Drying for Fluffiness

01

Shake 10-20 times before hanging

Give each towel 10 to 20 firm shakes before hanging. This simple step stands up the individual pile fibers that were flattened during the spin cycle.

02

Dry in the shade with good airflow

Direct sunlight can harden cotton fibers and fade colors. Drying in a well-ventilated, shady spot keeps towels soft and vibrant.

03

Short tumble dry for extra volume

Using a tumble dryer is highly effective for a soft finish. The tumbling motion lifts the pile from the root, restoring the towel's natural volume. Avoid over-drying to protect the cotton fibers.

03. Long-term Maintenance

01

Snip any pulled threads immediately

If a thread gets caught and pulled, do not pull it further. Simply snip it at the base with scissors. The towel's structure prevents it from unraveling further.

02

Avoid heavy stacking in storage

Storing towels under heavy weight will crush the pile loops. Store them loosely or fold them to maintain their natural fluffiness.
