    This tea caddy is the most popular item at Isuke. It's slightly taller than the typical lacquerware tea caddy, with a charmingly tapered shape called "hisago." The exterior features intricate lines called "chisuji," crafted using the skilled technique of lathe turning, giving it a more refined form. To highlight the beautiful grain of the keyaki wood, the finish is done with wipe lacquer, where lacquer is applied by wiping it with cloth. The caddy can hold approximately 70g of tea leaves.
