GAUCHER
Tokoname ware, one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns, originated in the late Heian period and is known for its iron-rich clay from the Chita Peninsula. Its iconic shudei teapots feature a distinctive red hue and are prized for mellowing the bitterness of tea. This traditional craft is recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan.
