Fire Pit - MOKONRO Medium

1. First, Decorate.
The MOKONRO is crafted from fragrant Tosa hinoki cypress, known for its soothing aroma.
A pine cone peeks out through the clover-shaped window on the front, giving it a simple yet charming appearance that brings relaxation to your space along with the refreshing scent of hinoki.

Its square shape fits seamlessly into any setting, whether it's a Japanese-style room, Western-style room, or an entryway. It also serves as a versatile accessory, doubling as a plant stand, bookend, or smartphone stand, adding enjoyment to various aspects of daily life.

Using multiple sizes together creates a rhythmic layout, one of the recommended ways to display it. (Available in M and S sizes.)

Each MOKONRO is handcrafted with care by woodworking artisans in Kochi Prefecture, using Tosa hinoki renowned for its beautiful grain and rich aroma.
The wood, known for its fine grain and natural scent, comes from trees that have grown for over 80 years (at least 60 years, as per local sawmills).
The unique knots in the wood are preserved intentionally as a characteristic feature, reflecting its individuality.

Over time, cracks may appear, a sign that the wood is alive. We hope you enjoy this natural transformation. While we avoid shipping pieces with significant cracks, we may include those with minor, character-rich cracks.

Even the pine cones are locally sourced from Kochi. They are carefully selected to fit perfectly into the clover-shaped window, thoroughly cleaned, and dried before use.

2. Then, Burn.
The MOKONRO offers another unique way to enjoy it - lighting it outdoors as a cooking stove.

When you ignite the pine cone, flames rise through the hole at the top, where you can place a skillet to cook simple meals. The cross-shaped cutout functions as a trivet. (Pine cones are often referred to as nature's fire starters.)

Burn Time:
Large size: 3 - 4 hours
Medium size: 2.5 - 3.5 hours
Small size: 1.5 - 3 hours
(Duration may vary depending on weather and wind conditions.)
After cooking, remove the skillet and enjoy the fire until it burns out completely.

For moments that are precious and meaningful to you, light the MOKONRO and let it return to nature.
