Banko ware kyusu are traditional teapots produced in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, Japan.
They have long been used as ideal tools for brewing Japanese tea.
Banko kyusu are made from a clay called "shidei," which has better heat retention than porcelain or metal and naturally absorbs tannins and other bitter components in tea.
For this reason, it is said that tea brewed in Banko ware becomes milder in taste.

The Yuubi Kyusu uses a ceramic tea strainer instead of stainless steel, ensuring that no metallic smell interferes with the flavor of the tea.
Its rounded body allows tea leaves to expand fully, while the spout is designed to prevent dripping.
The lid is easy to grip, the handle fits comfortably in the hand, and the inner notch makes it easy to rinse away tea leaves.
It is an ideal size for serving 2 to 3 cups.
