Made in Japan
The surface is decorated using the "Tobikanna" technique, where delicate patterns are created by turning the potter's wheel and carving with a special plane.
This teapot has a generous capacity of 500cc, making it ideal for serving 4 to 5 people.
Equipped with a "Ceramesh" ceramic tea strainer for effective filtration.
[Gyokko Kiln]
This teapot is handmade by the second-generation artisan Gyokko Umehara. Both the second-generation Gyokko and the third-generation Gyokko are certified traditional craftsmen.
All Gyokko teapots are equipped with a "Ceramesh" ceramic strainer.
The clay used is a blend of Shudei (red clay) and Yakishime (high-fired unglazed clay), carefully shaped on a potter's wheel.
Since each piece is handmade, individual dimensions and capacities may vary slightly. Additionally, the kiln effect and color variations of the tea kiln finish may differ from the reference images due to the firing process. Thank you for your understanding.
[Tokoname Ware]
Tokoname Ware is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, with origins dating back to the late Heian period.
A distinctive feature of Tokoname Ware is its use of iron-rich clay sourced from the Chita Peninsula. This natural characteristic produces the signature red coloration known as Shudei, a defining element of Tokoname's traditional ceramic art.
