    These conditions create unique and unrepeatable patterns and color variations.

    Tobikanna is a carving technique that uses a plane-like tool to cut patterns into the surface of pottery.

    While the piece is rotated on the wheel, a blade is applied to the surface to create rhythmic, continuous patterns such as ripples or stripes.
