[About Kurume Kasuri]
A retro belt-driven power loom system from the Showa era, where 20 looms operate from a single motor.
This Kurume Kasuri weaving workshop was founded in 1948.
It is one of Japan's representative traditional yarn-dyed textiles.
It features a soft texture similar to handwoven fabric.
With over 30 mostly manual processes, each piece of fabric takes 2-4 months to complete.
This textile is ideal for those who want to create carefully crafted items using traditional Japanese weaving techniques.

[About Chijimi Weave]
By dividing the warp yarns into two separate groups and weaving them under different tension,
the fabric surface develops subtle irregularities.
Because the material does not cling to the skin when exposed to sweat,
and because the uneven texture allows air to circulate between the fabric and the body,
this weave has long been favored as a summer fabric.
