    [About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri is a retro belt-driven power weaving machine from the Showa era, consisting of 20 looms connected to a single motor. It originated in 1948 and is a representative traditional pre-dyed fabric of Japan. It is known for its soft texture, similar to handwoven textiles. The production involves many manual processes, and it takes 2 to 4 months to complete, with over 30 steps.

    [Plain Kurume Kasuri]
While Kurume Kasuri is known for its diverse patterns achieved through the "kukuri" technique, even fabrics woven using power looms retain a unique softness similar to handwoven textiles. The artisans carefully handle the threads during processes such as warping, weaving, and finishing, minimizing stress on the yarns and employing many manual techniques. This results in a texture that bears witness to the craftsmanship passed down through generations. Apart from the "kukuri" process, plain and striped fabrics are also woven with great care by the same artisans using the same processes. As a result, the softness of plain fabrics has been widely appreciated by many enthusiasts.

    [About Slub]
Slub refers to a type of fancy yarn, often interpreted as a decorative thread with design elements. It involves creating longer and relatively larger bumps (slubs) at various points along the yarn, resulting in distinctive spotted patterns on the fabric's surface.
