[About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional Japanese pre-dyed woven textile that involves the operation of 20 retro belt-driven power looms connected to a single motor. Founded in 1948 during the 23rd year of the Showa era, this weaving tradition hails from Kurume and is a representative example of Japan's renowned heritage in traditional pre-dyed weaving. Noted for its soft and delicate texture akin to handwoven fabrics, it is characterized by a labor-intensive process requiring over 30 stages, taking 2 to 4 months to complete. This fabric is an ideal choice for individuals with a penchant for crafting distinctive pieces that reflect the essence of traditional Japanese weaving.

[Weaving Characteristics]
The hallmark of this fabric lies in the "Tategasuri" technique, where patterns are exclusively created using warp threads. This method is also known as "Itagasuri."
