A retro Showa-era belt-driven power loom operates with twenty interconnected weaving machines driven by a single motor. Founded in 1948, Kurume Kasuri is a representative traditional Japanese pre-dyed woven fabric. It features a soft texture reminiscent of hand weaving and is characterized by its labor-intensive process, taking 2 to 4 months to complete over 30 intricate steps. Ideal for those who want to create a meticulously crafted piece with a touch of Japanese tradition.

The "Tatekasuri" technique, where the pattern is created solely using the warp threads (vertical threads), is also known as "Itagasuri."
