[About Kurume Kasuri]
Showa retro -tailed power loom in which 20 looms connected from one motor operate.
It is Kurume Kasuri Omoto, founded in 1945.
It is a traditional tube fabric that represents Japan.
It features a soft texture close to hand -woven.
There are many manual processes, and it takes 2-4 months to woven 30 processes.
It is a perfect textile for those who want to produce a special dish with traditional Japanese textiles.
[Features of weaving]
Standing Kasuri that expresses a handle only with a yarn. It is also called Kasuri.
Kasuri thread and ground yarn (white) have a subtle swell on the fabric because the thickness of the thread is different. The fabric is thin and there is a sense of sheer because it is a white background.
Normal is a black pattern on a white background by tying the opposite side. I make a pattern using a technique called reverse hardening.
This technique is performed only with some patterns such as white kasuri, because it takes twice as much as the usual work.
