[About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri Weaving, established in the 23rd year of the Showa era, operates a retro belt-driven power loom system comprising 20 interconnected looms. It represents a quintessential traditional pre-dyed woven textile from Japan, known for its soft and handwoven-like texture. With a production process involving more than 30 intricate steps spanning 2 to 4 months, it is the ideal choice for those who seek to create meticulously crafted pieces with a touch of Japanese tradition.

[Weaving Characteristics]
"Standing Kasuri" (Tatekasuri), which expresses patterns solely through warp threads, is also referred to as "Itagasuri" (Itagasuri). The unique softness of Kurume Kasuri is achieved by fine-tuning the density of both warp and weft threads.

[About Arare Pattern]
The term "Arare" refers to a fine pattern with small intervals. The unpredictable arrangement of these patterns adds an element of interest. The versatility of the Arare pattern makes it suitable for both clothing and various goods. Striped Arare patterns are particularly popular.
