The Kurume Kasuri textile factory was founded in 1948 and operates a retro belt-driven power loom from the Showa era, connecting twenty looms to a single motor. They specialize in traditional pre-dyed fabrics, representing a significant part of Japan's heritage. These fabrics are known for their soft texture reminiscent of handwoven textiles.

The production process involves extensive manual work, comprising over 30 steps that take 2 to 4 months to complete. Once the fabric is woven, it undergoes hot-water washing and natural drying, resulting in approximately 10% shrinkage.
