Product description:

This is a retro, belt-driven power loom from the Showa era, consisting of 20 interconnected weaving machines. It belongs to the Kurume Kasuri weaving tradition, established in 1948, and is representative of Japan's traditional pre-dyed woven fabrics. It is characterized by a soft texture similar to handwoven textiles.

The production process involves extensive manual work, taking 2 to 4 months to complete more than 30 intricate steps. The finished fabric undergoes a process of natural drying after boiling, resulting in approximately 10% shrinkage.

We also offer support for entrepreneurs in this field. This fabric is perfect for those who seek to create one-of-a-kind pieces with a dedication to Japan's traditional woven textiles.
