20 retro belt-type power looms connected to a single motor are in operation at this Kurume Kasuri weaving factory, established in the year 1948 during the Showa era. It is known for producing traditional pre-dyed fabrics, representing Japan. The fabric has a soft and delicate texture similar to hand-woven textiles. The production process involves numerous manual steps, and it takes 2 to 4 months to complete over 30 different processes.

After weaving, all the fabrics are subjected to a natural drying process using hot water to achieve a 10% shrinkage. This initiative also supports entrepreneurs. If you desire to create a piece of Japanese traditional fabric with dedication, this fabric is a perfect fit.
