"Utsuroi" means the passage of time, as in the changing of the seasons.
We named it "Utsuroi" in order to create lacquerware that can be adapted to modern life while making use of traditional techniques.
The inside is finished with "wiped lacquer" to bring out the grain of the wood, and the outside is finished with metallic color paint to give it a glossy finish. It looks cool and feels cool to the touch.
