The UTSUROI Cup is a series that fuses the traditional wheel-turning techniques of Yamanaka lacquerware, the wood-grain-accentuating “fuki-urushi” finish, and modern metallic painting technology.

The SUWARI MURAKUMO Cup is carved from solid zelkova wood, hollowed out thickly and shaped with a rounded base so that when placed on a surface, it sways gently before settling — a design meant to evoke the graceful gesture of swirling a glass of wine, enhancing the aroma and rhythm of drinking.
