    The entire surface of the cup is engraved with a pattern called "hikita shikako," which is commonly used in the traditional Kyoto craft of Kyoka tie-dyeing. This pattern has been carefully designed to eliminate visible seams, effectively serving as a non-slip surface. Additionally, the cup is coated with glass, allowing it to be washed with a mild detergent.
