Sake cup - Sakasa Tsuki

Introducing a new sake cup expressed through lacquer and maki-e: When enjoying moon-viewing sake, aficionados are said to find more delight in gazing at the moon reflected in their sake vessels than in looking up at the night sky. With this concept of the "inverted moon reflected in the sake vessel," we have created a new sake cup, aptly named "Sakasa tsuki." Incorporating various moon images into six designs (YOI/JUGO/KASA/ARIAKE/MISOKA/SEN), we have depicted them using lacquer and maki-e. Each of the six unique designs possesses its own presence. Made of wood, they are lightweight and easy to hold, with a gentle mouthfeel as one of their charms. Furthermore, they feature practicality such as being less prone to transferring heat, making them easy to hold and slow to cool even when filled with hot sake. Ideal as birthday gifts for sake enthusiasts, or for occasions such as Father's Day, Mother's Day, or Respect for the Aged Day. Slightly larger in size, taking inspiration from tea sets preferred by Chinese, they are also recommended as souvenirs or gifts for foreigners.
