The fan surface is crafted from 'kasumiginu,' a sheer woven silk fabric. The sparse appearance of the thread knots adds a refined and relaxed elegance.
In a traditional Kyoto dyeing workshop, skilled artisans meticulously applied the 'hikizome' technique to create a beautifully blended dye. This meticulous dyeing process adds to the allure of the fabric, giving it a misty appearance.
For the weft threads, we used 'Matsuoka Hime,' Japan's first unified brand of pure domestically produced silk. This silk is renowned for its exquisite luster and supple texture, derived from the finest cocoons. It exhibits a beautiful sheen from different angles. Attached to the root is a charm made by a water-drawing artist using fragrant pouches.
It's suitable for both men and women.

Mizuhiki Incense Charm:
The charm's mizuhiki decoration is detachable and can be used as a 'fragrance pouch.' It embodies a new sense of traditional mizuhiki artistry, allowing for a refreshing breeze and fragrant incense when fanned, truly creating a 'cool fragrance.' The insect-repellent effect of the aromatic wood helps protect the delicate silk of the fan and aids in preservation. The part where the charm is tied is openable, allowing for refillable incense.
Dyeing and Tailoring:
The fan surface fabric is meticulously dyed using the 'hikizome' technique by skilled artisans in a Kyoto dyeing workshop known for its kimono dyeing process. The sophisticated craftsmanship resulted in a delicately beautiful gradation. The fan is also tailored by artisans, one by one, in a long-established fan shop in Kyoto.

Care Guide & Precautions
Care Guide & Precautions
Handling Precautions:
The fan body is very delicate, so please be careful not to store it directly in your bag as it may cause damage to the fan surface or fan ribs.
Dyed fan surfaces and dyed fan ribs may cause color transfer to other items due to color fading.
Since it is a fabric fan, spraying perfume or other substances on the fan surface may cause discoloration.
Please be cautious not to apply excessive force as it may cause damage.
The incense charm uses natural aromatic wood chips, so there may be limitations to the duration of the fragrance.
Storage Precautions:
As natural materials are used, there may be discoloration or other changes over time depending on storage conditions. Please note the following:
Dyed fan surfaces may fade if exposed to sunlight for extended periods, so please store them in a case or in a place away from direct light.
