Product description:
The southern iron bottle is a traditional craft of Iwate with a history of 900 years. It exudes a simple and warm texture, and its character improves with each use. Boiling water in the iron bottle releases bivalent iron, which the body easily absorbs and aids in iron supplementation.
For the initial use, lightly rinse the inside of the iron bottle and boil water for about 15 minutes from the 8th minute mark. The water may appear cloudy initially, but it's best to wait until the boiling water turns colorless before using it. This process may need to be repeated three times.
Even if the iron bottle has been unused for an extended period, follow the same procedure when resuming use. After each use, make sure to empty any remaining hot water and allow it to dry completely in an empty state.
For enhanced effects, when the hot water appears cloudy or strange, fill the bottle up to the eighth minute mark, add a cup of tea or sencha, and let it steep for about 15 to 20 minutes. This helps measure the chemical reaction of tannin and iron. Repeating this process 2-3 times can increase its effectiveness.
Afterward, rinse and boil hot water 1-2 times before using the iron bottle. Size / W18 x D15 x H20 (CM) Weight / about 1.8 kg Market water volume: about 1.1L
