[About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional pre-dyed woven fabric crafted using a retro-style, belt-driven power loom with 20 interconnected machines driven by a single motor. Founded in the 23rd year of the Showa era, Kurume Kasuri Weaving is renowned for producing this fabric, which represents Japan's rich heritage of traditional pre-dyed weaving. The fabric's hallmark is its soft and gentle texture, reminiscent of hand weaving. It involves a meticulous manual process spanning over 30 steps, taking 2 to 4 months to complete. This fabric is ideal for those who seek to create meticulously crafted pieces with a deep connection to Japan's traditional textile artistry.

[Weaving Characteristics]
Utilizing only warp threads (Tategami technique) to express patterns, a style known as "Tategasuri" or "Itagasuri" weaving. By adjusting the density of both warp and weft threads, a unique softness is achieved, similar to that of hand weaving.
