[About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional pre-dyed textile known for its handwoven-like soft texture. The production involves a collection of 20 belt-driven power looms connected to a single motor, creating a retro Showa-era setting. The Kurume Kasuri weaving mill was established in 1948 and is renowned as one of Japan's representative traditional pre-dyed textile manufacturers. This fabric is characterized by its soft and delicate texture, resembling handwoven craftsmanship. The intricate manufacturing process includes numerous manual steps, taking 2 to 4 months and more than 30 procedures to complete. After weaving, the fabrics are subjected to a hot water treatment and naturally dried, resulting in approximately 10% shrinkage, providing the final touch to the product.

[Weaving Characteristics]
The warp (vertical threads) employs fine yarn, known as 60/2 count, and is skillfully combined with various color arrangements in both the warp and weft (horizontal threads) to create a chambray effect, giving the fabric a glossy appearance. The 2-ply series showcases an original and distinctive weaving pattern, achieved by innovative winding techniques in the weft.
