One retro belt-type power loom connected to twenty looms operates from a single motor. Founded in Showa 23, it is a traditional Japanese pre-dyed woven fabric and represents Japan. It features a soft texture similar to hand-woven fabric. The production involves many manual processes and takes 2 to 4 months to complete with over 30 steps. The woven fabric is finished by natural drying after being shrunk by about 10% in hot water.
It is a perfect fabric for those who want to create a carefully crafted traditional Japanese textile.
Vertical threads: 40/2, Horizontal threads: 16/1 slub.
Weaving width is approximately 38 cm.
100% cotton.
