KURUME KASURI Fabric - Soft Canvas Kukuriito Mix Slab

We operate a retro-style belt-driven power weaving machine consisting of 20 looms connected to a single motor. Founded in 1948, we are the Kurume Kasuri weaving origin of the Showa era. Our textiles represent traditional pre-dyed fabrics of Japan. They are characterized by a soft texture similar to hand weaving. With numerous manual steps, it takes 2 to 4 months to complete over 30 processes. The finished fabrics are all processed through a 10% shrinkage method using hot water and natural drying.
