The Kurume Kasuri textile factory, established in 1948, operates a retro belt-driven power loom from the Showa era, comprising twenty interconnected looms. This factory produces traditional pre-dyed fabrics that represent Japan's heritage. The fabric has a soft texture similar to hand-weaving, which is a distinctive feature.

The production process involves extensive manual work, requiring 30 or more steps over a period of 2 to 4 months to complete. Once woven, the fabric is subjected to hot-water washing and natural drying, resulting in approximately 10% shrinkage.

The company also supports entrepreneurs and provides opportunities for them. This fabric is perfect for those who seek to create finely crafted pieces using traditional Japanese textiles.
