A retro Showa-era belt-driven power loom system with 20 looms connected to a single motor.
Founded in 1948, this Kurume Kasuri mill produces one of Japan's representative traditional yarn-dyed textiles.
It features a soft texture close to handwoven fabric.
With many manual processes, it takes over 30 steps and 2 - 4 months to complete each bolt.

A type of cotton fabric. When highly twisted weft yarns are used to create a textured"shibo" on the fabric surface, it is called "cotton chijimi."
Among these, those with vertical"shibo" are called"Yoryu," named for the way the texture resembles overlapping willow leaves.

Durable due to its natural crinkled texture and elasticity.
The uneven surface prevents the fabric from clinging to the skin, giving a smooth feel.
Excellent in moisture absorption, quick-drying, and overall coolness.

Introduced to Japan by Chinese weavers during the Azuchi - Momoyama period.
It matched Japan's hot, humid climate and spread widely across the country during the Edo period.

A pattern inspired by the feathers of an arrow.
Because an arrow flies straight and never returns, Yagasuri kimono were traditionally included in bridal trousseaux.
Associated with"hitting the mark," it symbolizes success in exams and achieving goals.
Arrows also represent protection and strength, making this a highly auspicious traditional pattern used in Japanese garments.
