A retro Showa-style belt-driven power loom, comprising 20 looms connected to a single motor, operates at this Kurume Kasuri workshop established in Showa 23 (1948). It is a traditional pre-dyed fabric that represents Japan, known for its soft texture resembling hand-woven textiles. The intricate weaving process involves many manual steps, taking 2 to 4 months to complete over 30 processes. The finished fabric is subjected to approximately 10% shrinkage through the process of natural drying after being boiled.

As part of our efforts to support entrepreneurs, we offer a fabric that is perfect for those who wish to create unique pieces with traditional Japanese textiles. The fabric is thick in texture.
