Kurume Kasuri is a traditional pre-dyed textile, representing Japan's heritage, produced using a retro Showa-era belt-driven power loom. The weaving process involves twenty interconnected looms driven by a single motor. Established in 1948, Kurume Kasuri is known for its soft and handwoven-like texture, which closely resembles handcrafted fabrics. The intricate craftsmanship requires numerous manual steps, taking 2 to 4 months and over 30 procedures to complete. Once woven, the fabric undergoes a hot water treatment and natural drying process, resulting in approximately 10% shrinkage to achieve the final finish. This textile is perfect for those who desire to create meticulously crafted pieces with a touch of Japanese tradition.

[Weaving Characteristics]
The warp (vertical threads) in Kurume Kasuri is made of fine 60/2 count yarn, creating a sleek and glossy plain texture with a unique touch achieved through vertical and horizontal color coordination. The original two-ply series features a special winding method for the weft (horizontal threads), giving rise to distinctive weaving patterns.
