    A retro Showa-era belt-driven power-loom system with 20 looms connected to a single motor.
    Founded in 1948, this mill produces one of Japan's most iconic traditional yarn-dyed textiles.
    It is known for its soft texture, reminiscent of handwoven fabric.
    With more than 30 manual processes, production takes 2 - 4 months to complete.


    A type of cotton fabric. When highly twisted weft yarns are used to create surface"shibo" (crinkles), the textile is called cotton chijimi.
    Among these, the type with vertical"shibo" is called"Yoryu," named because the texture resembles overlapping willow leaves.


    Naturally crinkled texture with elasticity, making it durable.
    Uneven surface prevents sticking to the skin and provides a smooth, airy feel.
    Excellent moisture absorption, quick-drying properties, and refreshing comfort.


    Introduced to Japan during the Azuchi - Momoyama period by Chinese weavers.
    It suited Japan's humid climate and became widely used during the Edo period.

    Fabric thickness: standard + soft
    Chemical dye 100%
    Cotton 100%
    Width: approx. 37 cm (shrinks to about 30 cm due to Yoryu texture)
    Finished with hot-water treatment and natural sun-drying
    Stole length: approx. 170 cm (including fringe); slight variation may occur.
