Staff News - Family trip to Togetsu-kyo Arashiyama in Kyoto

Togetsu-kyo Arashiyama in Kyoto
Hello. I am Junya. My family and I went to family trip to Arashiyama in Kyoto. It is the famous spot for sightseeing.

I finished work a little early and moved to a ryokan (type of traditional Japanese inn) in the evening to enjoy a meal and a hot spring bath. The ryokan is right next to the Togetsu-kyo Bridge, and can see it from the entrance of the ryokan.

Kyoto is very cold in winter, but the hot springs are very pleasant. Like Universal Studios Japan, there were many tourists from overseas in Arashiyama this week.

Japan has four seasons, so even in the same place, you can enjoy different scenery in each season. Autumn is beautiful with the changing leaves, and spring with the cherry blossoms. In winter, the air is cool and clear, so mountains and rivers in the distance look very beautiful. I recommend winter because it is also the season when the food is delicious.
