Hiroshima Japan - World Heritage Atomic Bomb Dome and Itsukushima Shrine

A world-renowned city of peace surrounded by mountains, the ocean and abundant nature

Hiroshima prefecture is located in the Chugoku region and faces the Seto Inland Sea. The prefectural capital is Hiroshima City. It has more than 140 islands and its landscape is very beautiful. Coastal areas have many sunny days and little precipitation throughout the year. On the other hand, the mountainous areas receive heavy rainfall in the warmer months and then snowfall in the winter.

Hiroshima Prefecture is home to two World Heritage sites. The first is the Atomic Bomb Dome, which bears the scars of World War II, conveys to future generations the tragedy of war and the preciousness of life.

The other site is the mysterious Itsukushima Shrine, which stands as if floating on the sea.

Kumano fude (blushes)

Kumano brushes are made in Kumano Town, Aki-gun. The tips of the brushes are not trimmed, making them delicate and firm. Because the natural hair is pleasant to the touch, it is commonly used not only as a writing brush but also as a cosmetic brush too.
