Aizu Nuri is made in the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture and has a long history of over 400 years. It is characterised by auspicious designs and excellent decoration techniques.
Ohori Soma Yaki (ware)
Ohori Soma Yaki is a ceramic ware produced in and around Namie-cho, Futaba-gun, Fukushima Prefecture.
It is characterised by a bluish celadon glaze, with cracks known as 'blue cracks' forming a ground pattern over the entire surface.
Aizu Hongo Yaki (ware)
Aizu Hongo Yaki is a traditional craft of the Aizu region of Fukushima Prefecture, and includes both pottery and porcelain. Many household items of various designs and styles are produced.
Kitakata ramen
Kitakata ramen is one of the three main types of ramen in Japan. The basic style is thick, frizzled noodles in a soy-sauce flavored pork-bone broth. It is recommended to sample your way through as many different ramen shops as you can in order to find your favorite.
