Kurume Kasuri is a traditional pre-dyed woven fabric, produced by Kurume Kasuri Orimoto, established in 1948. It is characterized by a retro-style belt-driven power loom arrangement, with 20 looms connected to a single motor. The fabric is representative of Japan's rich weaving heritage and is known for its soft texture reminiscent of hand weaving. The intricate production process, involving over 30 steps and taking 2 to 4 months to complete, makes it a perfect choice for those who seek to create meticulously crafted pieces rooted in Japanese tradition.
