"Lacquerware" is usually used for bowls and rice pails, and is usually used for special occasions. However, I want lacquerware to be used casually at any time, and by young people too!
This is why we created this bowl.
The material used is cork wood, and the "rim" which is rare in lacquerware, has been created to make it light and easy to hold. The edge of the brim has a tama-rim, which is placed on the fingers when holding the bowl to tighten the overall shape.
The rim is accented with metallic paint to create an image of the "four seasons".
It is perfect for pasta, curry, and one-plate dishes.
