Drawing inspiration from the moon that lingers in the dawn sky, we present a sake cup that captures the beauty of "Ariake" or the moon of the dawn. Rooted in the sophisticated Japanese custom of the "reversed moon," where moon gazing enthusiasts found more pleasure in observing the moon reflected within their sake cups than in looking up at the night sky. This concept gave birth to our innovative creation, the "Sakasa-tsuki" series.

The series comprises six distinctive designs (Yoi, Juugo, Kasa, Ariake, Misoka, and Sen), each translating various lunar impressions using the masterful techniques of lacquer and maki-e. The lustrous black and vermilion lacquer harmoniously blends with delicate gold maki-e, enhancing its allure.
