Bankoyaki earthenware is a traditional pottery produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Known for its remarkable heat resistance and heat retention characteristics, Banko-yaki pottery is renowned for its kyusu (teapot) and earthenware pots that make the most of these qualities. The GINPO Kikka earthenware pots, featuring lids designed to resemble chrysanthemum flowers, are versatile for both Japanese and Western cuisine. Thanks to their high heat resistance and heat storage properties, they can keep food warm even after being removed from the heat source. The pot does not require the "Medome treatment" that is often needed for new pots and is also resistant to absorbing cooking odors.
