Product description:
Banko-yaki earthenware is a traditional pottery produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Known for its exceptional heat resistance and heat retention properties, Banko-yaki is famed for its kyusu (teapot) and earthenware pots that capitalize on these attributes. The Gimpo Kikka earthenware pots, adorned with lids resembling chrysanthemum flowers, are versatile for both Japanese and Western cuisines. Their impressive heat resistance and heat storage capabilities enable them to maintain food temperature for a considerable time after removal from the heat source. Importantly, these pots do not necessitate the initial "Medome treatment" often required for new pots, and they also resist the absorption of cooking odors.
Ideal size for 3-4 persons.
