Product description :
Bankoyaki earthenware is a traditional pottery produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Banko-yaki has excellent heat resistance and heat retention characteristics, and is famous for its kyusu (teapot) and earthenware pots that take advantage of these characteristics. GINPO Kikka earthenware pots, with lids designed to resemble chrysanthemum flowers, can be used for both Japanese and Western cuisine, and their high heat resistance and heat storage properties allow them to retain the temperature of food for some time after being removed from the fire. The pot does not require the "stopper treatment" necessary at the beginning of use, and it is also resistant to transfer of cooking odors.
Ideal size for 3-4 persons.
Notices :
Do not put heat-resistant ceramic or earthenware pots on the fire while the bottom is still wet. Do not burn the pot empty. Do not use the pot for cooking with a large amount of oil such as tempura, frying, stir-frying, etc.. Doing so may cause a fire.Do not cool a hot ceramic or earthenware pot suddenly. Do not touch with bare hands while heating or when hot. In some cases, water may seep through to the back of the pot, but this is not a quality problem. After use, do not leave the pots and pans soaking in water for long periods of time. Any residual moisture may cause mold and odor. When stacking pots, place a sheet of thin paper or Japanese paper between them to prevent damage.
