[About Kurume Kasuri]
Kurume Kasuri is a traditional pre-dyed woven fabric produced by Kurume Kasuri Orimoto, founded in 1948. It stands as a representative of Japan's rich weaving heritage, known for its soft texture akin to hand weaving. With an intricate production process involving over 30 steps and taking 2 to 4 months to complete, it is the ideal fabric for those who seek to create meticulously crafted pieces rooted in Japanese tradition.

[Weaving Features]
The "Tategasuri" technique, where patterns are exclusively woven using the warp threads (tateito), is also referred to as "itagasuri."

[Arare Pattern]
The term "Arare" refers to a fine and closely spaced pattern. Unlike printing, patterns expressed through the tying technique exhibit an interesting arrangement. While designed with equal spacing on the pattern chart, the inherent characteristics of the tying and dyeing process result in subtle variations in the size of each "Arare," creating an overall unified pattern with a sense of intrigue. This versatile "Arare" pattern can be used for clothing and various goods, serving a multitude of purposes.
