Product description:
Banko-yaki earthenware is a traditional pottery produced in Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture, Japan. Renowned for its exceptional heat resistance and heat retention characteristics, Banko-yaki is particularly famous for its kyusu (teapot) and earthenware pots that make the most of these qualities. The Gimpo Mishima earthenware pots are regarded as the standard choice and have enjoyed popularity since the 1970s.
Adorned with a design featuring white and gray gradation accented by floral patterns, these pots not only exhibit high heat resistance and heat retention but also boast a contemporary appeal. They have found favor not only in ordinary households but also among professional chefs, remaining cherished by individuals both in Japan and around the world. Suitable for a variety of dishes including one-pot creations and stews, these pots are suitable for use over an open flame, in a microwave oven, or in a conventional oven, though they are not suited for induction cooktops.
Perfectly sized for serving 4-6 persons.
